Book Title: Marketing of Agricultural Products |
Urbanization, population growth, and increasing ratio of urban to rural population in recent decades in our country has not been in line with fundamental changes in food provision and distribution. One of the main causes of such an anomality was adopting the so-called "cheap food policies" which prevented Iranian farmers to undertake same functions that had been done by rural societies in Eroupe while ago. As a result, these functions were either kept aside, or were transfered to other groups who failed to meet the national goals of quantity and quality food. Delivery of quality and quantity food is a pre-requisite to a balanced social economy. |
